PREP TIME: 10 minutes
CHURNING TIME: 20 minutes
Put avocado, lemon juice and vanilla in a food processor and mix until smooth. Add crème fraîche, milk and honey and continue mixing until smooth.
Pour mixture into ice cream maker and churn until desired texture (about 20 minutes for scoopable consistency in standard machines).
Freeze finished ice cream for 1 hour for a more solid ice cream.
YIELD: 6 servings
NOTE: Avocado Ice Cream? Oh yeah, that’s a thing. This healthier option is honey-sweetened and incredibly creamy from the California avocados and Real CA Dairy. Make even more of the naturally nutty flavor by adding chopped pistachios; bittersweet cocoa powder, pomegranate molasses or chili-lime seasoning are also incredibly delicious on this surprising treat!
