Makes about 2 1/2 dozen
Preheat an oven to 350°F.
Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil and lightly coat with cooking spray. Arrange the crackers on the baking sheet in an even layer and set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the sugar and butter, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the crackers and bake until lightly browned, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with the chocolate chips, spreading them into an even layer as they melt. Sprinkle the walnuts on top, set aside to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm. Break into pieces before serving.
