Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 35 minutes (plus chilling and cooling time)
Preheat oven to 350°F and butter a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, milk, butter and eggs until smooth. Pour batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes. Transfer to wire rack and let cool completely.
Crumble cake into a large bowl. Add cream cheese and mix until fully combined.
Spoon cake mixture onto large piece of plastic wrap and fold over mixture. Form cake mixture into an oblong football shape. Refrigerate cake ball for at least one hour, or overnight, until firm.
Remove cake ball from refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving. Press white chocolate chips into top of cake ball to resemble football laces. Press mini chocolate chips into cake ball to cover completely. Serve with assorted cookies and fruits.
Serves: 8
Tip: Substitute boxed vanilla cake or chocolate cake for boxed red velvet cake!
