Cereal Milk Frootie Smoothie

Ingredients:

– 2 cups fruity o’s cereal + extra for garnish – 2 cups Real California whole milk or lactose-free milk – 2 tablespoons granulated sugar – 1/8 teaspoon salt – 1 banana – 8 strawberries – 1/4 cup blueberries – 1/2 cup ice Cereal Milk, Smoothie, Froot Loops, Fruity Cereal, Banana, Strawberry, Blueberries, Cereal

Directions:

Prep time: 25 minutes

Yields: 2

Prepare cereal milk: Pour fruity cereal and milk into a bowl and place in the refrigerator, covered, for 20 minutes and steep to infuse. (The longer you let the mixture sit, the stronger the cereal flavor in the milk.) Strain cereal mixture through a sieve and discard cereal bits.

Prepare smoothie: Blend cereal milk, sugar, salt, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and ice in blender until combined.

Pour into two glasses and garnish the top with fruity cereal. For an alternate topping, dip the rim of each glass in yogurt and then roll in crushed cereal to coat.
