Real California Fresh Fig Butter

Ingredients:

– ½ cup Real California butter, room temperature, plus more for brushing pan, and topping figs – 1 cup fresh ripe figs – 1 Tbsp honey – ¼ tsp ground cinnamon – Pinch ground cardamom

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 375 degree. Spray a casserole dish with non stick spray.

2. Place figs cut side up in casserole dish. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with cinnamon and cardamom, and dot with butter. Bake until figs are caramelized and soft, about 20 minutes, depending on the ripeness of the figs. Let cool. Roughly chop.

3. Add ½ cup of butter to the cooled fig mixture and mix until well-combined. Use immediately to top pancakes or put in the refrigerator to firm.
